Retail Therapy

Fife has many interesting shops to explore. Whether you’re looking for fashion, jewellery, art or food and drink, head into one of the main towns, the closest being Dunfermline, for some retail therapy with big name brands or visit one of the quaint villages for something unique.

For handmade crafts and unique arts, head to the East Neuk of Fife. Crail Pottery is a particular favourite, nestled around a beautiful courtyard in this picturesque harbour town.

For original artwork by local artists, the place to visit is Pittenweem - home to an abundance of galleries. August is a particularly good time to visit as the world famous Pittenweem Art Festival makes a great day out.

St Andrews boasts an array of independent boutique shops and you’ll be able to pick up the perfect winter sweater made from Scottish cashmere or a quirky handmade gift to take home to friends and family.

Find something unique at Crail Pottery in Crail or browse beautifully made furniture at Kinloch Woodworks & Gallery near Ladybank. You can also visit the world’s most famous and oldest golf shop, the Old Tom Morris Shop in St Andrews.

Produced by Griselda Hill, explore Fife’s creative culture at Wemyss Ware Pottery located in the stunning setting of Ceres - arguably Fife's most beautiful village.

Opened in 2015, Fire Station Creative - situated in Dunfermline - boasts an art gallery, studios, classroom, art therapy studio and artisan café.
