Dunfermline Golf Club

Dunfermline has its own golf club, founded in 1887, and its rich history will be evident when you visit the golf course. The first golf course was to the east of the town in Halbeath, before moving to Ferryhills, then the James Braid course at Torrie, and finally settled in Pitfirrane in 1953, its current location. Along with enjoying golf at one of the top golf courses in Dunfermline, you get to experience the scenic beauty of this beautiful course.

Canmore Golf Club

Canmore Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Dunfermline and the course provides a spectacular view over the town. The Canmore golf course was established in 1902 and has been popular with golfers since then. In the beginning it was a 9-hole course, but then a new layout was introduced with 18 holes and the course became challenging and testing for all. The layout was also improved a few years ago with the addition of more trees and other features throughout the golf course. It has proved to be suitable for all levels of golfers and is a great test for accuracy and a good short game.

Pitreavie Golf Club

Another outstanding golf club near Dunfermline that provides breath-taking views of the town, as well as towards Edinburgh and beyond, is the Pitreavie Golf Club that was started in 1922. It is an 18-hole, par 71 parkland course that offers great golf to all individuals and groups who are fond of this sport. This golf course was designed by the world-famous architect, Dr. Alister MacKenzie. You will feel his influence when you play on this perfectly designed course, with double- and triple-tiered greens. You will also be able to enjoy excellent golf facilities and hospitality during your visit. Pitreavie provides an incredible undulating parkland course which is a treat for every golfer who comes to enjoy a quiet afternoon of golf at this special venue.

Forrester Park Resort

The Forrester Park Resort encompasses 350 acres of impressive parkland with spectacular views of Dunfermline and Edinburgh. Forrester Park is a par 72 golf course which meets the high specifications of USGA standards. Golf lessons are also offered for beginners.
