Marquee Weddings
Our marquee is the perfect location for your wedding. We can accommodate up to 120 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast with a further 60 evening guests.
Great wedding photos come easily at Balmule. Around every corner in the house and gardens, you will see another spot for ideal wedding pictures. Rain or shine, you can be sure the backdrop for your wedding album will be perfect.
Situated in our walled garden, our 12-metre x 30-metre clear-fronted marquee affords you delightful views over the manicured walled garden towards the house. Uniquely, the marquee’s glass frontage keeps the connection with the house and grounds, ensuring the splendour of the surroundings plays a key part in the feel of your day. An abundance of space and no passing traffic adds to the exclusivity of your special day.
The neutrality of the marquee is enhanced by walls of LED lights and two feature chandeliers. The walls can be washed with coloured light to complement your theme or colour scheme. Lime-washed Chivari chairs with cream seat pads and crisp white linens add to the freshness of the space, and decorative planter boxes keep the connection with the walled garden in play.
The paths and flower beds of the walled garden, plus the greenhouse and route to the house are lit with strings of festoon lighting. As the lights catch the sun, the garden twinkles by day and, come evening when the sun starts to set, the space takes on a magical persona which is quite simply breathtaking.
Weather permitting, a ceremony on the walled garden's lower terrace offers a feeling of being connected to your surroundings and offers something different and delightfully special for your ceremony.
A bar for post-ceremony drinks reception, a Pimp Your Prosecco Station or even an ice-cream cart can be set up on the upper terrace or in our greenhouse to allow your guests the chance to mingle over drinks while your photographer works their magic.
